Aww, I actually think this movie is super romantic! Yeah, it has its share of failed/disastrous relationships, but I choose to think the ending means that the two main characters loved each other so much that they ended up trying their luck a second time — maybe successfully!

Oo oo oo, I know — it’s The Ruins! I was actually taken to see this movie on a date when I was in college. I’d only seen maybe half of one trailer for the movie and for some reason, that + the posters led me to believe that it was going to to be a modern-day, Indiana Jones-esque adventure thriller. IT WAS NOT.

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I

Sorry, no. She did straddle him, but she did NOT proceed with the sexing until Sam gave (in my opinion) an enthusiastic “yes.”

… after asking for his permission, which he gives (seemingly gladly). No real conflict here to my eyes.

I’m re-watching the last episode now and I honestly don’t think Gilly raped Sam. She gets on top of him, kisses him, then completely stops to ask, “Am I hurting you?” He shakes his head “no,” she continues, starts sexing him, and he says, “OH MY” in an eager/excited tone of voice.

Very pretty! Evening out your skin tone makes a subtle yet beautiful difference I think :)

I just finished reading the Nantucket series by S.M. Stirling and I highly recommend it!

Just finished reading the Nantucket series and it was fantastic! It’s competence porn and a love letter to democracy all rolled into one. I only wish I could have the joy of reading them for the first time all over again!

I thought the same thing about Sansa’s awareness of Ramsey and her precarious situation. I mean, if anyone knows how to spot a psychopathic sadist, it’s Sansa!

If I were to hazard a guess, I’d say it was the scene where several characters attempt to summon one god and end up calling another 1/2 human 1/2 fox god, who then kills everyone and brutally rapes a main character in order to bestow semi-godhood upon her via his magical semen.

there is over a half hour of hardcore sex that ive seen stitched together from various episodes.

Just watching the ep now and I have to wonder — is Littlefinger’s establishment the only freakin’ whorehouse in King’s Landing?! I mean, I know new sets are expensive, but still…

Hm, did not realize they were high-heeled sneakers from that pic. I’ll agree, those are definitely hideous, but you’ll never convince me that my wedges are fug!

Aww, wedge sneakers aren’t so bad! They’re really quite comfortable, actually. I own a pair of Nike Sky Hi Dunks and you can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

Oh hey, it’s Mimal!

Me reading most Discworld novels (or really, any super-engrossing book):

As is the case with stories with young protagonists, the stories hit the themes of adolescence, being a teenager, growing up, and identity.

That sounds gorgeous! I’m sure she looked lovely :)
