Obligatory.

Psh, it’s easy! Just be a girl/woman and be 5’8” or taller! Then everything you wear looks “tough” because tall = manly apparently. I’m 5’8” and have been told that I look “tough” and “imposing” while wearing the most ridiculously girly things. Seriously — I was once told this while wearing a flowy purple mini-dress.

My mom is now 66 (maybe 67?) and she still loves to play with makeup! Based on my observations of her, it seems like the keys to good makeup after a certain age are (1) taking care of your skin and (2) picking one feature to highlight at a time.

I’ve recently gotten into doing my eyebrows (I used to just ignore them, more or less) and I’m really enjoying the difference it makes! Your whole face just looks better once you do your eyebrows and it’s so subtle that you can’t really pinpoint why (i.e., it doesn’t look super “done”). Also, if you’re someone who

I recently splurged on Benefit's “They’re Real!” gel liner and I have to say, it's AWESOME! The formula is great (stays on all day, never smudges) and it has a super-precise tip that’s great for doing winged/cat’s eye looks. You should give it a try the next time you’re looking for new gel liner! :)

I limit myself to one thing per visit, but it’s difficult! :)

This is like a less-sexy version of the “Stepford Wives drag” Betty wore last season in Mad Men. In other words, I love it!

I want this dress in my summer work rotation like yesterday.

I have so many pics of my mom, aunt, and grandma wearing some combination of this hair + outfit combo in the late 60’s/early 70’s!

You should also check out a specialty olive oil & vinegar store if you have one near you! I used to think this was the dumbest store idea ever until I went into one and OMIGOD, they are amazing! The idea is that it’s a store full of different kinds of olive oil and infused vinegars and you can taste all of them before

I don’t even like young and attractive white men touching my face — hell, I don’t like anyone touching my face. I have this weird, irrational belief that I will instantly break out in pimples if someone touches my face. I mean, Idk when the last time you washed your hands was, dude! You could’ve JUST peed and not

Love that red! I do <3 my Jungle Red, but now I’m gonna have to try Ruby Woo the next time I’m in Sephora!

I’m like 90% certain I made this exact same dress from a Simplicity pattern when I was in 7th grade.

I really did like some of the designs, it just bugs the hell out of me that so many of the tops are see-through! I’d be tempted to buy the shoe shirt/sweater, but I’m not paying more than $10 for something I’d have to wear a cami with (not at Kohl’s anyway).

It’s a cute design but … it’s see-through! I refuse to pay more than $10 for anything that’s so sheer I’ll have to wear a cami with it.

This is a sweatshirt? And it’s thin enough to see through?? Get off my lawn with your whisper-thin sweatshirts, LC’s design minions.

This is kind of a weird comment, but … where the hell else could I post it if not here? #YOLO

I <3 the pomegranate-tinted Burt’s Bees chapstick! Several friends with different skin tones have borrowed mine and it looks great on everyone! It’s basically just a light/sheer red-toned chapstick :)

You. Are. Great. Please continue demolishing Jango up there while I watch. It's been very entertaining!
