This whole situation is just incredibly sad. To imagine having to feel forced to jump out of a window to escape a sexual assault? Or to get gang raped or have to watch someone you love get gang raped? Just devastating. And of course all the women who have to live in that situation daily. Of course - while India may

GRRM is definitely using HBO to hammer home that all those allusions to Theon being castrated were serious and HE HAS NO DICK. IT IS IN A BOX.

The Simpsons and Game of Thrones? Imaginary internet BFF.

As the show moves out of Westeros there will be more POC characters who aren't slaves - if the show follows the descriptions by GRRM at least. Whether or not HBO whitewashes it is a different story.

The Hound became one of my favorite characters as well. I sped ahead of my boyfriend while reading the books and he was completely confused as to why I loved The Hound. He thought he was despicable. All I could say was "you'll see."
That's part of the reason I love GRRM so much. He writes such complex characters. No

WHAT? Not even doublestuf? That is sad. I can't even eat regular Oreos because doublestuf is just so much better. I think a cookie black market is needed, for the sake of humanity.

I dislike capitalism as well - or at least our version of it. It's scary to think about how much control big businesses have over our lives and well being. I think that's why I don't have much sympathy for them.
I think that personalizing shopping, kind of like what Nordstrom and other "high end" shops do, would be

That's what I always thought as well.

But the thing is they're not doing themselves any favors by instituting more fees. And when I say that it doesn't cost any money for a customer to try clothing on I mean specifically to TRY CLOTHES ON. It's the same price to stay open and hire employees and keep the lights on as it would be if someone were

Seriously. It's nice that they're "price matching" but that doesn't really mean diddly-squat if you have to pay to try on clothing. If they put the "try on" fee towards the price matched price than maybe. But seriously, a try on fee? That's just greedy. It costs nothing for a store when a customer tries on clothing.

That's a good idea. Right now my clock in my bedroom says 1:27 (it's 2:36), and the clock in the kitchen says 8:10 because it ran out of batteries four months ago and has become a decorative piece.
Me and time are not friends.

Agreed. I never understood how people could feel comfortable invading another's personal space like that. I understand if it's a crowded area and it's inevitable, but common courtesy is still warranted. Same goes for someone who is taking up a much needed seat when there is someone who needs it more. I don't even live

Aw, I wish I had inherited punctuality from my German side. I'm late everywhere. Apparently my angry Irish side dominated that shit.
Seriously though, my punctuality is a problem.

Same. I dozed off on a train once and woke to a guy petting my hair. It could have been worse, but still - no thank you.

I think a lot of it has to do with things being taken out of context. A lot of that is because of lost jokes or back-story, and "poisoned" food. It is weird that a lot of the food is thrown away - that's something I never noticed. But as someone who has had disordered eating in the past (if that accounts for anything)

I believe the toffee yogurt bit was because while Arya was eating the yogurt one of the suspects mentioned something about it. I don't remember what it was exactly, but the side eye was more a silent "oh the suspect is being weird" rather than a side eye at the food or the character eating the food.
Then again, like

I've got a lump in my throat from this. I love dogs so damn much. I hope she lives a long, otherwise healthy life with all the treats and belly scratches she could hope for.

Thank you for such a thoughtful response, because I was trying to come up with one and my brain was flooded with rage.

As a pale girl I've lived a lifetime of people coming up to me and grabbing my arm going "oh you're so pale! Look at how tan I am compared to you!"
It's not the same thing - I'd rather have my arm touched than my hair - but it's still not very nice, and it made me really self conscious about myself for a long time.
Why

I used to be friends with an overweight vegetarian. She's still overweight AND still a vegetarian. Some people are just bigger for whatever reason.
