Pretty sure they moved the online servers to another provider. The name escapes me at the moment, but I'm pretty sure I played some online a few months ago. Could be mistaken.

I think that's more of a problem with the game, rather than the subscription model. Wildstar even has F2P options, much like EVE, where you can purchase game time with in-game currency. I don't know man, if you look really closely, it looks like it's running down over the black outline too, and there seems to be a very faint darker streak below that. Either way, these men should be commended for doing the job no one else wants to do, but still needs to be done.

This was the series that got me into Minecraft, and it still holds a special place in my heart. Like you said I learned to play while following X's adventures, and I'll never forget that.
