I wholeheartedly agree: the backstory of this show severely undermines the script. It's impossible to watch without cringing, whereas if it was a smarter crew with the same script, it would be funny.

Yes! The pilot was kinda nuts, but since then it's found it's groove. It's also worth watching for the dynamic between her and the president.
