No worries! Jez commenters tend to be pretty snarky/sarcastic but tone is absent in text.

I was definitely (and I thought obviously) being sarcastic. I'm a feminist on a website that skews feminist.

So funny, since human trafficking has been completely eradicated!

Haha! It's weird because we both take after women on our dad's side: I look creepily identical to my great-grandmother and my sister looks very much like our grandmother. Those genes skip around quite a bit I guess.

I always think it's weird when siblings look so similar as I look absolutely nothing like my sister.

Reading stories like this makes me never want to leave my house. The thought of people like this existing in the world, much less passing by or interacting with them makes me sad and afraid.

Yup. I just watched a really upsetting episode of Disappeared. Long story short, a young woman went to a fancy Malibu restaurant and was acting strangely. She tried to walk out on her tab and just seemed not all there. So someone at the restaurant called the cops. The cops came and searched her car for a wallet but

I also have a cartoon body. When I put on weight, its pretty much only in my hips/butt. If my waist measurement changes I know its time to be better about my eating habits.

Tea tree oil is a common ingredient in 'natural' products and it is actually a skin irritant for many people.

I know for a fact that non toxic body paint exists. There are even international bodypainting festivals. Unbelievable that a high circulating magazine like this wouldn't get some proper non toxic paint. If it made her throw up that quickly and she was covered in it for 15 hours there's a pretty strong chance that it

When I'm typing I always starting writing 'research' as 'reasearch' I think its the position of the keys more than anything but it makes me feel like an idiot.

The copy on that Kate Upton article is so dumb. It criticizes her for not wearing a more fitted style to 'show off her figure'.

Oh oh you should tell your uncle that 'aks' is actually an antique pronunciation of ask (it's called metathesis, basically syllables get switched) that was common in the US in the 18th/19th centuries. Then you can make him uncomfortable and be like 'gee whiz I wonder why some black people say an antique word from the

Poorly sewn bust darts. It baffles me because that dress is probably like $5K.

Damn, PMs are still 'temporarily unavailable'. I don't know how you feel about posting an email or other identifying info on GT. We'll figure something out!

I think it's a socialized thing. We start hearing 'men are more visual' (total bullshit) pretty early on and we live in a culture that objectifies women and raises young men to think that women exist for their benefit etc etc. For some guys, having a hot girlfriend is like having a nice watch or car. You don't want to

"The worst they can say is no. And then you're no worse position that you are now. Go for it."

Some stuff is fine being unisex but clothing is another big issue. Men's shirts and pants are cut for straighter bodies so the fit isn't right. It's gotten a little better but my sister (who is thin but curvy) spent years wearing ill fitting men's shirts and pants.

"I didn't even have any choice to begin with!"

It is so insulting! Like, I couldn't possibly work out unless my shoes are bright 'girly' colors. It's so hard to find black running shoes or workout gear that doesn't have a pop of bright pink. Like you I have nothing against pink as a color. I love my hot pink lipstick and I have really bright pink accessories like
