Some stuff is fine being unisex but clothing is another big issue. Men's shirts and pants are cut for straighter bodies so the fit isn't right. It's gotten a little better but my sister (who is thin but curvy) spent years wearing ill fitting men's shirts and pants.
"I didn't even have any choice to begin with!"
It is so insulting! Like, I couldn't possibly work out unless my shoes are bright 'girly' colors. It's so hard to find black running shoes or workout gear that doesn't have a pop of bright pink. Like you I have nothing against pink as a color. I love my hot pink lipstick and I have really bright pink accessories like…
Gemma Arterton's outfit is so Emily Gilmore.
I worked out in a women's group for like 3 years and there was never anything but support, friendship, and good vibes or whatever. I hate the idea that women are 'dramatic' and fight with each other.
Right? My sister was just like 'are you fucking kidding me?' She has been hunting/generally outdoorsy since she was like 10. This was at a huge store, with thousands of boots for men. She usually ends up buying men's boots/hunting gear because there are almost none specifically for women. I don't know about other…
Also, many many clothing/shoe options for women are fucking pink. Once my sister went to a giant outdoors store (which will remain nameless) to get a new pair of hunting boots. There was literally ONE PAIR and they were pink camo. She almost died of a rage stroke.
White girl here. The difference between my waist and hip measurement is 17 inches. Other than that I agree with you. I find it really irritating that people think a small waist and a big butt are 'unnatural'. Have they seen ancient fertility idols?
Your use of capslock is absolutely justified.
Bad Brains had awesome breakup songs. Sailin' On is good for the angry phase but Why'd You Have to Go on Black Dots is seriously heart wrenching. Sadly there is literally one youtube video of it and the quality is horrible. If you have Spotify, check it out.
"I'm better than you because I had a super frugal wedding and didn't go into debt"
I actually work in the jewelry industry and sell engagement rings and I agree. I've had customers buy $995 half carat solitaires and $30K rings. Most people don't go into debt to buy their rings and buy what their budget fits. I'm happy to help all my customers, not just the big spenders.
So excited about full skirts and black/gold. It's all I wear all the time.
I don't know if the almond milk will be thick enough for it to set, but you can always give a try and update me later! I'm glad I could help you out! I had to make pretty sudden dietary restrictions when my lactose/gluten intolerance developed pretty suddenly so I did a lot of research. It's hard but you adjust pretty…
I agree with everyone else that you shouldn't cut everything at once. It's much easier to stick with something if you make smaller less drastic changes.
It's just so.. flippant and disrespectful.
Can Jezebel PLEASE stop using the 'rape rape' tag for articles like this?
Exactly. Faces change significantly from the teen years to your early 30's. I actually made this side by side comparison once when I was arguing with someone, haha. Left is 19 and right is 23 years old. A lot can change in 4 years. If I were a famous person I would totally be in Star Magazine with circles around my…
I look SO different at 25 than I did at even 21/22. My face has thinned, cheekbones have appeared and my nose looks slightly different too. It's called aging.
