I’ve got a vaguely similar system in my MR2 - mix that with the supercharger system and the electronic control systems and you have a hell of a time diagnosing issues.

Excelent article! I have been following this engine for a while and I must say that a real world improvement of 15% is amazing (considering the model comparisons by Mazda). As you said Mazda claimed an improvement between 20 and 30%, however I was sure that was for mechanical efficiency of the ICE itself, so seeing
