OK, OK, domestication to all tax evaders! I am interested in what you are saying and please send me your pamphlet.

I realize you are just going from the gut, but nah, I’m not OK with it. I once worked with a guy who lived through Mao’s cultural revolution, and he spoke quite a bit about gardening in Mongolia in a camp 100 miles from where his wife was gardening in Mongolia and never being allowed to see her for ten years. His…
Without any judicial finding of fault … just because the government says so? I assume because the government never makes mistakes?
I love it!
Forget it.
The drive down 81 to the North East extension is legendarily tough. I did the run to Philadelphia once in 3 hours 15 minutes, clocked about 25 cop cars and did not get picked up. That was back when the speed limit was still 55MPH. My favorite bit of it was passing a two tone LTD cop car with a statey in it, pulling in…
What I get from this is that tomorrow is probably going to be a snow day for my kids. Love ‘em, but I am getting seriously behind with work.
Please don’t die.
I’m going to do it just because I don’t get yelled at enough … I liked the Sebring. Or more to the point, I liked one thing about it, the back seat. Because it had been designed to be a convertible, it had enough space in the back for people. It was that feature I really hated about the Cascade, which had the worst…
That is a good point. Guess the guy lied to me.
Back in ‘92 a friend and I were walking through a town in New Jersey just chatting, and I saw this car, red/black sitting in a guy’s driveway. It was the first one I had ever seen so I went up and peered a bit. The guy came down from where he was working on his roof, and asked if I wanted to take a closer look. He…
That model Mercedes is a little special in this regard I think. I have the factory manual as well. It has nothing on the AC system, which makes sense since none of them left the factory with AC, yet it was a standard feature on the car. Every one was shipped to New Jersey where the units were installed prior to…
My favorite Haynes instructions for the replacement of a heater blower motor in a 1972 Mercedes Benz 280 SE 4.5:
The upper version with the tilted back rear light is one I saw on the highway. I still count it as one of my favorite options, but I am really interested in the final version. Probably got the job done too with more conventional aesthetics, but I like the older model better. I just love that rear window.
I was thinking of the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser, which might be the same thing or pretty close? Not sure, but that is the greatest example of the roll down rear window I can think of. The entire roof line was designed so you could roll that thing down for ventilation in the worst possible rain storm. I remember the day…
Actually I stole it. So better than I could do … not that I tried.
I have read it. Short pamphlet. Have you read Hayek? You do not understand how Capitalism functions or how Socialism functions. Read some books and some history. Find an example of functioning state planning because you can’t. Even India as an open Democracy for 35 or so years after its independence bankrupted itself…
Wait
Actually, probably not.
She is irrelevant. She is a very junior member of a very large house positing a plan that no senior member of Congress is going to follow. She can list plans that say anything and no one is going to listen.
