I was thinking really his problem was the cold tires too. The rear end became unsettled from road surface, and the tires started pogoing. He really didn’t even have time to lift off power. He did counter steer, but there was nothing going to prevent that accident other than warming up the tires before he tried to make

Thanks. That was a nice palate cleanser after the watered down Fine Young Cannibals thing.

Exactly. I am thinking that if they want to drop a V8 into a new chassis and call it an 8C competizione, more power to ‘em. But if they want to take the Guilia engine, and drop it into a lightened all aluminum Maserati chassis, and call it a 6C Super Leggera, sign me up baby.

Somewhere in here it just makes sense to me that they would produce a 6c off of the Guilia quadrofolio power plant in an exotic chassis from Maserati since they seem to be putting all of this together. I mean if you want to talk storied Alfa name plates, that is one waiting to be brought back.

Generally I like talking to my 3 year old. He has a great imagination and is interested in everything around him. He also is very social and loves to talk about all his friends, who would be any child he met anywhere even for three minutes. However the boundary pushing has gotten to that level where everything he says

Sort of. Since the entire industry is burdened with the exact same cost problem, it is usually passed on to the customer as a “fuel surcharge” taking it out of the realm of price competition. This is what happened in the US during the last price spike. There could be regulations that prevent the Brazilian truckers

This is probably a stupid question but why can’t the truckers charge more to deliver their goods to cover the higher cost of fuel? Here (US) when fuel prices went way up my goods were delivered with a “fuel surcharge” on top of the contract price to move the goods.

First of all, if I were Ford, I would never pay one red cent on this claim. There seems to be no evidence, only conjecture, that Mary’s car is the one that started the blaze. Military vehicles? Yeah, those things are generally in terrible repair. Also it could be a new German car with a manufacturing fault. Could have

Low, but it was the time of repayment at 1,000 years that really made the sale.

I have done all sorts of cars from old lacquered vehicles to modern color and clear. This is a pretty good result for not having used a polish prior to waxing.

Exactly what kind of soap and wax did you use? I have waxed some pretty beat cars, but that is an pretty tremendous transformation.

No worries. Nice actually chatting about cars on Jalopnik for once!

A classic! I had a boss at one point who was a 50 year old died blond woman. She told the best dumb blond jokes I ever heard. As I tell my mother in law, also died blond, blond is not a hair color; it’s a lifestyle choice. She always agrees.

Fair enough, but I just like it the way it is. I had a ball playing with this car with its owner. It is a really fun memory for me, and he had a handlebar moustache and dressed to go with it. Really fun guy, so your suggestion was like reengineering my memory, which made me a little sad.

No, no you’re right. It is just going out into the environment, all over the cylinders, whole thing.

Yup, cars back then were a disgusting mess. You really want to reengineer a hundred year old design? If I were going to go that way, I would just buy a Camry.

It is archaic. It was 1919.

I can describe it. On top of the top end is a metal cover held on with two wing nuts if I recall correctly. When you stop for gas, you take the cover off the motor and flip it over. On the underside is about an inch and half thick felt pad. You pour in one quart of oil, let it soak in, then flip it back on top of the

A lost oil oiling system IS an oiling system. I asked a Franklin owner how annoying it was, and he said that it wasn’t. Every fuel stop, just pop off the oil cover from the head and pour a quart of oil into the felt pad, and it was good for another couple of hundred miles. I love the simplicity of Franklins. No oil

Assuming that the dealer called their insurer a statement as to its current condition would be enough for the insurer to renounce ownership. It would cost them more to dispose of than it was worth. They would have to send a guy, take possession and title and put it either to auction or to salvage. Better to just wash
