Fake celebrity relationships exist primarily to increase ratings for a show or movie. Like Twilight with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Or Glee with Lea Michelle and Cory Monteith. It generates a lot of excitement for the show in a LOT more publicity for the two involved.
