I loved re-visiting that area. Snake's flashbacks were my flashbacks.

Would you mind going into further detail? I think it looks impressive, actually. Is it a looks thing as in graphics, or in gameplay?

Use the mask from MGS4!

Bonus points for the Breathed references.

I'm not seeing this, honestly. It's a picture. Of a video game character. Next to the logo for a Japanese Expo.

History here now glosses over World War I, but I remember as well. I doubt our kids and grandkids will learn of the horrendous effects of mustard gas.

When I was a boy, we had a paddle! With a dial! And we moved blocks on a screen to keep a smaller block from going off that screen!

I'm not really impressed. It did nothing to really pique my interest. As a matter of fact, I didn't even like the "bombshell" they portrayed. I felt they just took a stereotypical video game female, ripped her arm off, replaced it with a cybernetic prosthetic, and suddenly SHOTGUNS.

We are a polarizing people here in the United States, and these photos plus that history should teach everyone a valuable lesson in humanity.

Jason, your stance - that Ninty's statement is "terrible" - gives the impression that you have a same-sex bias. Is this so, and do you feel that your bias is influencing your coverage of this?

I wonder if this will spell the transition from hardware to software for Ninty.

I need to clarify, and I thank you for bringing those points up.

Now you know as well as I do that if Ninty refuses to accept same-sex relationships that the public backlash will make things even worse on them. I'd just rather cut the whole "sexual/romantic relationship" aspect out of video games and save all the trouble.

Then why go to these extremes to add in a same-sex element?

Then let's avoid the relational thing entirely.

Drizzt is dead!

Why is it so necessary to have same-sex anything in a video game? If you have to have a same-sex relationship, why not make it an ACTUAL relationship instead of worrying about a video game?

I feel so, yes. It's not the actor, it's their ability to portray the Doctor that makes the difference. While Baker is, and will always be, my favorite Doctor, I have plenty of room in my heart for a black Doctor. I'm not even sure who'd I'd prefer to try on the role.
