Well, I don't agree this is a low fidelity game, as i personally like the cartoon art style. but that's personal taste.

because MMO's that try to go for ultra high res graphics have the following problems:

1) it is free to play, if you want to play enough to buy in game time. It has the PLEX system from Eve

Now playing

doogla, you've said that it isn't innovative mechanics wise and is "just like wow combat" in 3 threads now, and clearly have no idea what your talking about. Which is fine, as i doubt you've done any actual research on a game you clearly have no interest in.

Now playing

yea, no, so you know nothing about it then. The combat is all free aim and skill based, as is the dodging, as is the crowd control. it is the farthest thing from "no aiming, no skill involved" as you can get.

"maybe if it had innovative combat systems"

so many questions raised by this mind trip...is it going to be mostly annie taking on every titan in some sort of fucked up gangbang? will the human females get blown up with a growth ray?

He was a great player for the Celtics, but that was because he fit the team perfectly in 2008 and 2009. They had a PG who could move the ball, one of the all time best shooters at the 2 guard, a SF who could score almost at will, and a athletic freak still close to his prime who was transcendent on help defense and

but he hasen't sold those in the literal sense. they are promised to kickstarter donors. So yes, they are "sold", but only in the sense that they have been pre-ordered.

oh I don't know, Mario seems to be doing alright. So is Madden, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Numerous other annual or semi annual releases.

who's creative idea got crushed? they are still going to make and release the product. If they are right about it's demand, then investors will be lining up once they have the sales data to support their evaluation.

yea, no. They made an awful presentation, and had no sales data to justify their valuation. They were rightly laughed out of the room, as they would be by any serious investor. They asked for 2 million dollars in funding, on a 20 million valuation. The rift has about $200,000 in confirmed sales, if your counting all

right, i agree about the potential market, but thats the problem, they came in saying "give us two million dollars for 10% of the company, we're worth 20 million dollars!"

Not at that valuation they wont. Omni is not a fucking 20 million dollar company.

no the problem is the Rift has no market at the moment. These guys came in half assed and basically said "give us some money...this is super cool!"

There are no "contest rules" they invest their own money. The concerns they raise are very valid for a investor. $1000+ for unproven technology is a huge risk. The creators would have done better to get some sales first, then go before investors.

I don't want to shock your world view, but games are in fact products.

incoming wall o txt, everyone down!

"We guys have it pretty easy"

She was being a complete bitch throughout the entire commercial, that in microsoft's mind, is "the joke".
