“Nerf” is a very strange word to use for this

So....a solution? Sounds like you don’t want them to explore these cultural identifiers and the explorer-genre tropes. Should half the cast be fired and people you find “approved” be playing this game?

This may seem like an overly cynical and bad-faith interpretation of what Critical Role is doing with this new campaign.”

So basically they are taking the name of a well respected studio with a strong history... and renaming it to Bandai Namco Filmworks and losing any meaning to the name... seems like a terrible idea.

It’s extremely weird to compare a modern city that’s home to millions of people to basically a tribal frontier. It’s 0% apples to apples. You could compare it to Ghost of Tsushima, but both have very different gameplay and for PLA it’s gameplay supplies enough Pokemon that you’ll never travel more than 2 seconds

The tasks for seeing a pokemon use a move are SUPER clearly intended to be earned by using the moves yourself.  It's also worth noting that the tasks with the red arrows are worth 2 levels and 20 research points (as opposed to the normal tasks that are each worth 1 level and 10 research points).  Since catching is

NERFNOW’S JOKE IS RIDICULOUS AND YET ODDLY COMPELLING.

I know of it but I’ve never played it.

...let me tell you about a game called Final Fantasy XIII.

At this point I’ll take what I can get. A choppy-looking incomplete game that’s actually trying something fresh is far more compelling to me than the “I’ll hold your hand and stroll you through a mediocre story” approach of the main series.

One of the problems I’ve always had with “piracy damages” as a concept is it’s completely theoretical and almost always based on the false assumption that the same people pirating something would be legitimately paying customers if piracy wasn’t an option, which is nearly never true.

good lord, fudge off. It’s a couple of weeks, it’s just fun, and it changes a game that doesn’t flipping change much.

that’s so sad.  R.I.P.

Heck, that’s tragic :(

A byproduct of our litmus test society. I think it's ok to say "women". They know who they are.
