it isn't perfect until you can get EXP from secret base battles. I miss the days of duking it out against Lv 100 Legendary teams, all for EXP points daily (until the battery died).

The main character is straight, so that shouldn't be there. then again, there is one yaoi couple in it, but that shouldnt be enough to put it in that genre.
