It takes away control of women from men.
It takes away control of women from men.
I have to say, this is the first time I've had the basic tenets of their grievances listed so concisely, and how do you refute such a list? Its based in such a subjective "reality" that its hard to know where to even start. The conversation they're having is so different from the one we're having.
The remarkable thing, to me, about this is the continuing dystopian fantasy about "women's privileges" maintained by these nutcases and far too many who don't pull out the guns, but complain privately. If you quiz them about what these "privileges" are, they'll tell you:
- women expect and get free everything
- women…
"They want to retain the advantages of being women...while trying to grab those of men."
25 years ago today, a gunman entered the École Polytechnique in Montreal, Quebec, in Canada, killing 14 women and…
Seriously. People need to stop depicting rape of a woman as a way injure the man who loves/owns her.
But it's absurd to object any time a rape is depicted on TV (which you guys seem too do pretty consistently) precisely because it is an altogether too common fact of life.
I can't and won't try to speak for all rape survivors, but I wouldn't have felt in any way comforted or inspired by this scene. I would have been triggered as fuck. I hope they had some sort of "graphic sexual violence" warning before the start of the episode.
Just popping over here for some much needed fluff because the MRA/FALSE RAPE ACCUSATIONS ARE WORSE THAN HITLER hoards are out in droves.
surprising literally 0 people, i loved aaron carter. i deserved harry styles, but i got aaron.
I'm praying for Hilary Duff. Creepy exes are creepy, celebrity or no.
I love that you don't understand what this actually means.
And will likely be used as ammunition for keeping more women from serving on submarines going forward.
Ugh this movie is such a bad idea on so many levels. It completely sensationalizes the dictatorship aspect of NK ( and yes it is fucked up, but don't feed it even for the purpose of satire) and occludes the very real human rights issues faced by NK citizens on a daily basis. Good job hollywood!
I've got major pre-coffee brain and I mistook Azealia Banks' tweets for Iggy Azalea's and there was a moment of pure, unadulterated horror/confusion unlike anything I've ever experienced before at a white woman saying those things.
can't stop laughing at "Igloo Australia"
[preparing myself for when an instagram photo of his victim hits reddit or something and debates ensue about whether or not she is hot enough for the crime he committed.]
