Nothing odd here, just some rodents making nests. I have had a vehicle that was 2 months old have similar nests in it after sitting in the dealer lot before getting put on the sales line.

Yeaaah....
Not if you play the CYA game in an intelligent way. For example, CCing the company lawyer, and keeping local copies of the messages where this was said. :P
Those meeting are happening at my company right now, for a system wide outage of our financial transaction system, at a multi-billion dollar financial company. It’s ugly, and our vendor is squirming HARD, along with the SVP of IT... I might be getting bumped up from VP of IT soon...
Oh, no kidding. Within the MAINTENANCE budget for our main servers, Iput in 2 all new SSD compellent SANs, replicated to one another, with hourly snapshotting, and 2 week retention. Along with 2 new UCS chassis, 2 new fabrics, 2 new 5548UP switches, a pair of nexus core switches, 8 blades with 512gb of ram each, and…
Ah.
A large finance company I work for (billions+) had been running their Transaction systems (AIX) on a single server, with a single storage backend controller. An out of contract, out of warranty IBM FC SAN unit. Eyup, the financial accounts, transactions, and of 120,000 clients
Meh, it’s more likely that whoever picked the RTO (recovery time objective) of more than.. say... 1 hour, will probably get smacked around and dismissed. But the blame game comes AFTER the ‘OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK GET IT WORKING’ game.
Close! But a network/systems administrator isn’t enough head-rolling for this. Most likely, some Assistant Vice President of IT who was chosen to handle DR (but didn’t really know it) will get reprimanded, POSSIBLY dismissed. Then they will pass down the blame to [Insert Name of provider, usually IBM] and money will…
Overrun, not overcook.
Hyndai is marketing Genesis now as it’s own brand, with the 5.0L Equus folded into it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Kia SUV getting a badge-engineered version to round out their offerings, and killing of the k900.
I’m not on the tesla bandwagon myself, not the self driving/lane keeping crap. But we hear about Tesla a bunch because the media has a pretty big stiffy over the views it gets.
Hardly worth replying to. It’s a collectible. Like those giant swords, high performance cars, kites, and golf. It’s a HOBBY.
The current gen isnt an axe murderer like the first gen. Even if you turn off everything electronic. They really, finally sorted it out.
I can see the swedes taking it to the next level, and creating a test for moose poop evasion. That stuff goes flying!
I dont disagree. The car was about to get a Mendola transaxle swap since that was going to be cheaper, until I found a shop that had already done the legwork and could just bang out the needed shaft.
25k is the transmission. NOS replacement headlight assemblies sometimes show up for around 2-5k, used for 1-3k.
They added half of that back on (22lbs) and dropped the turbo pressure before the race.
I have one of my three (one salvage title, one total wreck for parts, and one ‘good’ car. Selling Mr Salvage.) about to go up for sale.
Internal work on transmissions. Specifically, giant snaprings often found compressing clutch packs in sunshells. Fuck those things scare me, for no good reason. other than some finger breaking capability if you aren’t careful, they aren’t particularly dangerous!
