I would argue the interior.  The SRT8 interior materials are taken from Mercedes.  Compared to the GTO, its actually very VERY nice.

Our current birds carry over 1000lbs of monopropellant, to give you an idea.  They are pretty nimble, and capable of moving a suprising amount.  They also have a pretty short lifespan, due to fuel depletion.

Well, its not like they would want to put in a 100+lb heavier 4L80-E.  The 4L60E is a solid transmission and when mated to the torquey LS series engines is really pretty damn good.

I'm thinking they did it because it greatly simplifies the chassis of the car.  Now you dont have to find room for a big cable to run from front to back, under high tension.  You just have two wires, probably using the already existing CANBUS, and some actuators on the rear brakes.

The new one isnt too bad.  They have added lots of electronic safties to keep it under cotnrol.  I couldn't even get the tires to do much more than chirp and squeal with a clutch dump, it defuels the engine to coddle you and keep you safe from your stupid self.

Hard to calculate reserve capacity accurately. Ford is pretty iffy about that. I call it Ford Gas Gauge Syndrome. Stays on F for 100 miles, then drops to half for 200, then instantly goes to E but you still have about 1/4th of a tank.

But AWD makes you fucking INVULNERABLE! It mystically grants vehicles the ability to stop better, even though they have 4 wheel brakes just like everyone else.

Other than different spring/damping rates, and some tweaking in their shifting, they are mechanically identical.

I don't mind a tastefully built system. A properly tuned subwoofer, a few hundreds watts running it, and nice high end component speakers all connected to a decent amp.
