They would have to be absolutely hauling ass on an unprecedented scale. The SR-71 at mach 3.3 is well within reach of a missile like the S-300 Grumble. The heat from going even as slow as the SR-71 would make them visible to a missile designed to intercept them.

If people didn't leave the place a mess. I've driven it a few times in the 4x4 van. Its not really made for Offroading, but its pretty much the defacto use. That and dumping bodies.

Not having a bunch of jackasses popping off their cheap-junk SKS rifles and missing the goddamn 45 foot tall backstop.

Uwharrie in North Carolina. 5 bucks a day, or 30 bucks for a year. You get ~15 miles of well maintained trails accessible for 8 months a year.

Mach is dynamically calculated based on density/composition/temp of the atmosphere, and would be lower at the altitude he was at.

Nah. Most of A123's cells are made in Asia. They do have a US factory though!

I could put 99% of the commenters on this site into a 5hp cheap china import kart and they would have more fun on a real track then they would ever playing a video game.

Fucking Lightning Bolts. My 5 year old nephew kicked my ass because of a lightning bolt in mario kart. I wanted a rematch, he declined, so we went for a ride in my SRT8 and got icecream instead. Did your ultra-fast Miata in Forza 4 get you icecream? I dont think so.

Lets just throw a breadvan in.

Because some people can afford Kraft Singles, some people can afford mass-market cracker barrel, and some people can afford hand aged 10 year old cheddar.

MOPAR!

SRTs still say 300C on them. They start structurally identical to a 300C, then things kinda get out of control with a larger engine, a Mercedes w5a580 transmission, different Brembo brakes, suspension, half shafts, rear diff, visual treatments, wheels, tires, brake ducts, cooling upgrades, etc. Actually, now that i

They have similar behaviors. AC induction motors (which, in fact, we used) look very similar to the last graph, however they bow more towards the left at lower speeds, resulting in two 'peak torque' speeds.

How could he forget about the platform that spawned Green Car of the Year for 2008?

'I guess I just love the sound of a good exhaust note.'

People do fail to recognize the insane potential of a well configured electric motor :D

I have knowledge of large electric motors. You are off a bit, though it is a common misconception. There is a limit to how much power they can consume (how much the controller can deliver, how much the brushes can handle, the shape of the field, saturation of the field coils, the temperature of the motor, etc etc).

He used a pilot balloon with a camera payload. Presumably, he also had GPS along with some sort of radio transmitter.

I suppose they could be waiting for cloud cover to get out of the way, for filming the launch and ascent as much as possible. They also are not launching any piballs as best as I can tell, so... yeah, weather delay = confusing.

That sign would have been privately printed and paid for in most cities...
