The Nightly Show has become EXCELLENT. I tried it when it first started and was deeply disappointed. The panel dragged everything down. I gave up and I think only came back because of his Bernie interview. But he has fixed it, and the supporting cast around him is terrific. The bits they are doing for Black History

That actor, Jordan Carlos, is now a contributor on Larry Wilmore’s show and he’s really great on it.

The actor who played Colbert’s black friend on The Colbert Report (they had to hire an actor because the show didn’t have any black employees) wrote a truly depressing article about this years ago. One of the things he talked about was meeting a Daily Show writer, asking about the application process for the show, and

I am categorically not defending him, because (a) that was tremendously unkind of him and (b) he does have a history of making unkind jokes from time to time. However, re: your specific comment “He’s a bully who was probably bullied as a child”. I think it’s worth pointing out that besides the whole “not having a

Terrible story! And tbh I’m not a fan, but this interview is great. Too bad people are complicated/shitty/still right sometimes. Sorry you had that experience.

That gatekeeper notion would be a real a-ha moment for a lot of people, I bet. The studios probably don’t even realize all the ways in which the deck is stacked. That’s not a point of absolution, but it is a potential point of education.

i wouldn’t say i’m surprised. jenner’s got $$$ and the one thing the republican party stands for before all else is rich people’s right to keep as much of their money as possible, while still benefiting from government services paid for by the taxes of the underclass.

pbs!

Can she go to PBS? They would be a better fit since they do intelligent coverage.

I read the article at the link and still don't get it (sorry). Are you saying the strict gender separation means it would be easier to find her a random seat anywhere vs him a seat in an all- male row? I genuinely don't understand why moving the person who has the issue/strict requirements is not the obvious answer?

I see nothing about Haredi being forbidden to get up on an airplane and walk to a new seat.

I get that he is ultra othodox but dont fully understand what that means... please explain to a gentile why it would be harder to have him switch?? or why dont they just designate parts of the plane “ultra orthodox douche-holes only”?

Seriously. How do they get through the ticket counter, security, the boarding procedure and the safety announcements, let alone the flight itself, without even glancing at an unrelated female?

or buy the seat next to you if you have concerns about who you have to sit next to.

Also, if your religion prohibits you from interacting with literally half the people on the planet, your religion probably sucks.

Is this a real thing? What makes plastic — which was invented just a hundred years or so ago — an adequate barrier for violations of thousands-years-old spiritual beliefs?

Why are they allowed to fly over cemeteries if they wear plastic?

Why wouldn’t they simply move the dude? He’s the one with the issue.

Finally. If your religion prohibits any sight or incidental contact with women, maybe you should stay home. We certainly won't.
