I drove one of these for a year or two. These care were easy to fix, and slow, which was perfect for younger me. It was a scary car, as the hood was so long, over humps in the road, you can see nothing for a scary amount of time.

My favorite driving road: Willits to Fort Bragg, CA, on Route 20. It’s 35 miles of amazing switchback back roads. They are also smooth as silk and almost empty. The best is the Delaware historic tag. It’s the only tag smaller then standard. Plus, it gets more valuable each year.

The worse tag is the PA train heritage tag. I had one a long time ago, it was impossible to read, as the letters wore down fast, and blended with the rest of the tag. It was great for the speed cameras in Washington, DC.

87/88 Nissan Pulsar NX SE: It was a fun car to drive and definitely quirky, but lacked any resemblance of “Japanese Quality.” It would break down, all the time. To make it ever worse, it was always a $500 part.

My advise: Rent the right car for your trip. I rented a Porsche 991.1 Carrera S. It was the PREFECT car for northern California. I even drove it through two of the three trees, you can drive through.
