The biggest problem with this setup is that the lens of your phone or non DSLR won't have the lens zenith setup properly so there will always be errors in the panos.

I have a friend with a British fish + chips restaurant, she got one to put in her restaurant as a conversation piece. Even inside it still rusts like crazy. We had to move it outside to clean the floors and a couple pounds of rust fall out of it each time lol.

I have broken one, a Professional 600, it was really getting a workout when it started making some crazy noises, it also belonged to a friend. Mine has never had any problems and it gets a good workout every couple of months.

I love my KitchenAid also. I remember when I bought it the woman who worked at the store told me she's had one for years and had almost never used hers. I use mine a couple times a week, at the least. It's much more retro than this.
