Wow SERIOUSLY? I really do not see the appeal here of his "gamer" segments. He is so boring in them, purposefully obtuse and just useless. It might be funny but he is so stiff. I am very surprised that people actually like this, I always assumed it was just his fans/stupid people.

Meanwhile my PC continues to play beautifully at 4k resolution without the need for games on disc :D This next-generation thing is really full of old ideas.

This is actually a legitimate sentiment - why, after 7 years of 720p and 30fps should it be ok that the Xbox One costs $100 more (because of a 'mandatory' Kinect 2.0), and there's almost nothing next gen about it?

Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems. An Xbox One has chips, it has memory, it has Blu-ray, it has Kinect, it has a controller. These are all part of the platform ecosystem.

Hearing that one of the worst things about this expansion was disappointing scenarios was pretty encouraging to me... I have yet to EVER bother with a scenario and didn't even remember they were a thing so if THAT is most of the shortcomings with this expansion... I got a lot more civ to play this week.

How often do people play scenarios in Civ games? The main lure for me has always been the random map generator, where I'm free to do whatever I want, and expand an empire based on the land and civs around me. Scenarios, to me, impose restrictions on a game where its strengths are all about the lack of restrictions.

A great number of people would disagree with you. And to this day, it is still THE greatest PC game of all time. Great pacing, story, atmosphere! Not one game in the past 5 years pales in comparison.
