Who cheats on Idris Elba? How is that even *possible*?

Women of color exist in societies in which we're told to model a European aesthetic. This is universal. Women of color handle this differently. Some a) can acknowledge when they've internalized these notions of beauty, b) do not verbally acknowledge internalized racism but have considered whether it shapes their

I would entertain the idea that while Chen maybe never said to herself, "I look too Chinese and I'll never be successful," she may have said to herself, "My eyes are too small and I'll never be successful." Same goes for women who get the "ethnic bump" taken out of their noses.

I don't know ladies of 'The Talk', between Sheryl Underwood's Afro hair is 'nasty', Julie Chen's eyelid surgery and Sharon Osborne's 'Jew' bump, I'm going to say there are a lot of self-esteem issues on that stage. I've never even watched the show.

Sometimes I see this self hate shit and I just have to sit back and clap it out of white people. You did that shit so well, that now you can just sit back and the people you oppressed will do the dehumanization and murder for you. Like damn. No wonder you work so hard to uphold this shit.

Can we also address Sharon Osbourne saying "Jew-bump" because I am...really not cool with that.

I would not believe the premise of any movie that suggested a woman would attempt to juggle multiple men if she had Idris Elba in her life.

Janek is not pleased.

PRECISELY! And Oprah Winfrey became the most powerful woman EVER in televised media while being a fat, dark-skinned, black woman with a broad nose and all sorts of "ethnic" features. The problem I have with this is that Julie Chen is giving white people's "preferences" waayyy too much power in her effort to

I don't think Connie Chung ever had surgery.

She obviously can't change something she did years ago, but the idea that it's just "a choice" to change your non-white features specifically to look more white, and that it's not a problem that POC are made to feel that their very livelihoods and worth are affected by how white they can look, just floors me. I guess

I am happy that Chen has found great success in her career. Unfortunately, I fear that this story, and its positive reception, will simply make both women and men feel that surgically altering their bodies is a prerequisite to beauty and success.

It was more like "Poor, non-white people? They like it that way!" which is even worse.

That's a picture of Valerie June, one of my favorite artists! LOVE that they used a picture of her and her gorgeous, amazing hair (though I wish they'd credited or acknowledged her.)

I'm kind of surprised and pleased by how completely they owned the (massive) misstep in the response. You don't see that often these days.

If a booty claps in the forest and there are no white people around, does it make a sound?

The ass is back! Just like the Harlem Shake, Bankhead Bounce, Tootsie Roll, Electric Slide, Dougie, Stanky Leg, Twerking, Cornrows and anything else white people just heard about this week!

Um, duh. That is what the title implied because EVERYTHING is about white people unless we state otherwise.

"Butts Are Back FOR WHITE PEOPLE"
