yeah. i twas really interesting. They didn’t cut pay, they didn’t make other days longer, so you made the same amount of money and chose which day off worked best. some people still worked 5 days but shorter hours to improve commute or be able to pick up/drop off kids, etc.

which is great. But someone is still dong that stuff every other day of the week.

I will say, in this video, they weren’tmoving those hours to other days. They cut back to a 32 hour work week!

I’m sure it’s great that he sees it as a day to spend with his kids. But to me it’s the same tone as when dad’s “babysit”. you are a parent every day of the week. And I’m sure the mom, who, statistically speaking, almost certainly also works full time, doesn’t think of herself as a parent only one day a week.

oh brother. I appreciate how hard parents work. I also appreciate that there’s probably another parent involved who almost certainly also works and does not get to parent only one day a week.

I was watching a video last night about a company that has moved to a four day work week and some of the folks were talking about how it made life easier for them as parents and one man was like “now I get to be a dad one day of the week!” and people are so impressed by that.
