I make Costco runs maybe once every couple months, where I make grocery runs once every week or two. For me, they're relatively close by, but I imagine for most people it's quite the drive to go store hopping.

It really depends on your situation. For me, it's definitely worthwhile to drive across town to Costco for the low bulk prices, and it also makes sense to stop at the local grocery on the way home for specialty items, produce and things that I only use in small quantities.

The difference is with linux you have to research a whole day, make sure the change will work with whatever disto you have.
