Very true, but in the Nintendo Pokemon games on the handhelds, you see actual things happens because of the grind. In a day in PokemonGo, you can collect some candy walking, collect Pokemon, collect items from Pokestops, and fight at some gyms, the rewards are a drip whereas the regular games are a stream of rewards.

They need to make an update where the higher the CP of the Pokemon/the stage of the evolution, the more candies you get for capturing it. There is literally no reason why chucking 20 poke balls at a level 900 Pidgeot should land you just as much candies as a level 90 Pidgey.

I agree. I also like shorter games. I like focused story driven (except the multiplayer of course) and hate too big open world sandbox-ness. For me, the Arkham Asylum hit the sweet spot. I haven't played Arkham City yet because I am a little afraid it went in the direction I would not like because of the reasons above.
