I would argue Gwen Jorgensen’s 2014-2015 15 win streak in ITU was more dominant (maybe). Katie is dominating in a sport where others have been dominant before. Gwen won 15 in a row in a sport where nobody really ever thought about winning more than 2-3 in a row.

Ledecky is, undoubtedly, the greatest freestyler of our time. She’s just absolutely dominant. It’s a shame that they don’t have a 1500m for women (they really should) because Ledecky would dominate there as well... she might even lap some of her competition which is amazing because every Olympic swimmer is

All joking aside, this part of the plane is super ugly. It looks like they copied a weathered first class cabin from an 80s era 757.

Will that modem work with Brighthouse?

Will that modem work with Brighthouse?

It's also one of the most technical parts of any race. It's not just about how big of a raw engine your team has. You have to work together and it takes a lot more skill than most people would guess.

Great pic!

Honestly, it would be a miracle if Dumoulin won. I’m not taking anything away from him... the guy is an absolute beast in his domain... but, IMO, the mountains will take a toll on him. The mountains are a watts/kg game whereas a flat TT is just an all out watts game.

“It’s great to be in the EMP-ire today! It’s great to be in the EMP-ire today-ay! something something...”

I’ve always been interested to see what a modern A-10 designed with modern composites in mind would look like in terms of performance. I would guess 25-30% increased range/loiter (maybe more), improved low speed handling, improved durability/survivability, and vastly improved targeting with modern purpose-built

FACT: SAM systems like the S-400 would be smoldering heaps of metal before the A-10 ever made it into the theater.

Compared to its coverage area, the S-400 is small but it’s not like you can hide it like a MANPAD.

In theory could these be engineered to give off the radar signature of a larger aircraft? I’m thinking “swarms” of these drones could overwhelm an enemy’s air defense system in the opening days of a war by simply giving SAM sites too many targets to shoot down. For example a “swarm” of say ten drones could fly in five

My grandfather had a couple of turkeys on his farm who would harass women pretty aggressively. I witnessed at least two dozen incidents over the course of twenty years. It’s a real thing.

Plus it has a nuclear reactor. Those aren’t cheap.

I think you’re missing the point about something like .22lr. It’s rimfire so it quite literally fails to fire 1-10% of the time. Rimfire is simply an inferior means of setting off the round. That is simply unacceptable for self defense applications.

First, re-read my statement. I said rim fire is less “reliable”. Second, every gun you just mentioned is chambered in 7.62x54r which has a rimmed case but is actually a center fire cartridge. Google it ;)

I’m with you except on the caliber limitation. That seems rather odd.

.22 isn’t exactly a reliable man-stopper. Further, it’s a rimfire cartridge which inherintly makes it less reliable. There’s a reason wars are fought with centerfire. I’d never trust my life to rimfire cartridges caliber be damned.

Back to .22 not

Also, the elderly. I live in FL so I see a lot of older people who, IMO, should no longer have their license (impaired vision, delayed reaction times, reduced mental facilities, etc). My own grandmother would have been a great example. She was an amazing driver. Started driving in her early 20s and was accident and

I was going to say the exact same thing. That would be a very sensible approach. IMO, autonomous busses serving an area like Michigan Avenue in Chicago with charging pads at their stops seems like a good idea. There would be almost no need for the bus to leave its route except for when service is needed.

Just a quick thought: that would be a genius way to move real tanks quickly over long distances without having to encumber a train (I’m not entirely sure how tanks loaded on a real train would work out... from a load perspective).

What is this, LOTR?
