My grandfather had a couple of turkeys on his farm who would harass women pretty aggressively. I witnessed at least two dozen incidents over the course of twenty years. It’s a real thing.

Plus it has a nuclear reactor. Those aren’t cheap.
I think you’re missing the point about something like .22lr. It’s rimfire so it quite literally fails to fire 1-10% of the time. Rimfire is simply an inferior means of setting off the round. That is simply unacceptable for self defense applications.
First, re-read my statement. I said rim fire is less “reliable”. Second, every gun you just mentioned is chambered in 7.62x54r which has a rimmed case but is actually a center fire cartridge. Google it ;)
I’m with you except on the caliber limitation. That seems rather odd.
.22 isn’t exactly a reliable man-stopper. Further, it’s a rimfire cartridge which inherintly makes it less reliable. There’s a reason wars are fought with centerfire. I’d never trust my life to rimfire cartridges caliber be damned.
Back to .22 not…
Also, the elderly. I live in FL so I see a lot of older people who, IMO, should no longer have their license (impaired vision, delayed reaction times, reduced mental facilities, etc). My own grandmother would have been a great example. She was an amazing driver. Started driving in her early 20s and was accident and…
I was going to say the exact same thing. That would be a very sensible approach. IMO, autonomous busses serving an area like Michigan Avenue in Chicago with charging pads at their stops seems like a good idea. There would be almost no need for the bus to leave its route except for when service is needed.
Just a quick thought: that would be a genius way to move real tanks quickly over long distances without having to encumber a train (I’m not entirely sure how tanks loaded on a real train would work out... from a load perspective).
What is this, LOTR?

FWIW, I’ve seen him in Church every Easter the last three years (Church of Bethesda by the Sea, Palm Beach FL).
Honestly, this seemed pretty genuine to me. It also really hit home:
“Crusty” is *the* perfect adjective.
No joke it looks like that plane *belongs* in Star Wars. Well done.
That’s the other thing: nuclear weapons are $$$ to maintain. It’s not like they have an unlimited shelf life. This is especially true of thermonuclear weapons. Fission bombs are easy. If we ever see a terrorist use a nuclear weapon it would likely be a fission weapon very similar to Fatman/Little Boy. Even then, the…
The thing with nuclear weapons is that even if you know HOW to make them they're super super expensive to make especially if they're going to be miniaturized warheads which you need for something like an ICBM. Refining your feedstock takes a very expensive capital base and a ton of energy. It's not like a gun where a…
I still don’t get why they didn’t build and focus the team around Sagan and, instead, catered to Contador. It just doesn’t make sense. Shouldn’t matter in the long run though (hopefully). Talent like Sagan’s will be recognized and he’ll be picked up by a team that wants to win (like Sky).
First time I’ve seen this. I’m not sure to what degree form follows function in Naval architecture but hats off to whoever designed this. Very good looking boat.... just eyeballing the front it seems like it was designed for heavy seas.
.... and WAY more than that if they were to start borrowing money and use their reserves to pay interest on said debt. The KSA is doing just fine. The rest of the oil producing world will have to give up the ghost long before they do.
A very good friend of mine works for Disney here in Orlando. Apparently early last week the FBI showed up to review the park’s security. They also stationed trailers with “response teams” throughout the parks (out of site obviously). The mouse isn’t messing around.
