As SAMs gain range the grow larger. If a SAM is launched at you from, say, 200 miles away it will be pretty large, no? My point is that, at a certain point the SAM is large enough to shoot down BVR. After all, the SAM isn’t expecting to be targeted and it certainly isn’t programmed to avoid incoming ordinance.

Contrary to what others have said here, the Tomahawk doesn’t have to fly a straight line. Newer versions have programmable flight routes to allow for 1). either hitting the target from the optimum vector (e.g. trying to hit the south side of a building even though the missile was launched from the north) or 2). to…
One of my favorite moments in TV news history was right after the shoe was thrown and Bush assumed a defensive but playful stance like “c’mon where’s the next one? I like this game.”
My own interpretation of this at the moment was that they were preparing for something else altogether and that this shooting was more of a spare-of-the-moment decision. It’s almost as if they were planning on blowing up something (that’s what pipe bombs are for, right?) but then they decided they really hated their…
N=1 sample: my parents, decades long Mercedes devotees, recently just bought a nicely spec’d XC90 and they absolutely love it.
He probably would have been much safer in jail in protective custody of some sort.
I don’t agree with Christie on a few issues but, honestly, I wish he’d gain traction. This video about changing how we approach drug abuse (treat them, don’t jail them) really hit home for me as one of my dear friends is currently battling a dual alcohol/xanax addiction.
Here you go:
I know that seems like a crazy price for a pump but I saw one in person at the Chicago Triathlon and *almost* bought one. It’s honestly a work of art.
Hypothetically, could Arnold Schwarzenegger be his VP?
FWIW, according to the NYT the Chicago Police have cost local taxpayers nearly $500million in settlements over the last ten years.
Economist here. I’d just like to say Janet is the real deal.
That's a bit elaborate, no? That would almost be like me eating at Wich Wich everyday just so nobody would suspect me of robbing the adjacent Chipotle. Only, you know, way worse.
There’s a pretty busy four lane road not far from my house. I’d guess 30,000 cars a day traverse the road. A few years ago I was eating at a restaurant and I looked out the window to see a guy riding right up the middle of the road on beach cruiser bike with a pretty legit sword leaning on his right shoulder. Dude was…
That would be a 10/10 moment:
“Here, put the bananas on the counter. This is a team effort.”
*starts chopping bananas with a sword*
The anger is strong with this one...
