Serious question: what sort of “upgrades” has the rotary engine seen? I follow engine tech (the exotic stuff) as a hobby and there’s actually been quite a few advances in rotary engine tech over the last ten years although none of it has seen the light of manufacturing day. Yet.

Yeah I just figured the owners were getting shafted no matter what. I was wondering what sort of financial damage is out there for VW. You have to wonder what the North American market is worth to them.

Question: could the owners of said TDI cars potentially file a class action lawsuit seeking compensation for said diminished fuel economy, the inconvenience of having to have the car serviced more often, and general false advertising?
