Like Wiley E Coyote, almost making it.

I’m talking about just jumping out of the cab in order to get away from the truck itself, not including the scenario in which the truck falls immediately afterwards.

Found the stupid hot take

It’s because the Wrangler is the PHEV powertrain and the gladiator is the gas-only.

Protecting US Automakers protects hundreds of thousands of jobs.

I saw a tweet that summed it up succintly: Apple wanted L5 self-driving or bust, and they came to the conclusion that it can’t be done.

Label it cultural appropriation, and it fits Musk’s M.O. to a tee.

Can you even get a signal at cruise? I’ve tried numerous times to zero avail.

List is missing 1st-gen Camaro SS:

This was tried during or after WW II on a B29 Bomber. They molded little flaps into the tire sidewalls to spin up the tires in flight.

Planes would have a significantly less problem with unsprung weight in the wheels too I’d think? (no idea just making that assumption since planes aren’t going offroading or even city streeting in daily use)

I have a feeling that this is a problem that doesnt need solving or using an electric motor to spin them up just isnt worth the extra weight complications etc. to get a few extra landings on a set of tires.

I think the next tech breakthrough will be in hub motors in the main gear. It would allow the plane to taxi around without engines running, allow for spin up prior to touch down and braking after landing.

I remember reading an article about this very idea a few years ago. While in theory it would reduce tire wear the added complexity, weight and cost made it very not worth it.

The pinnacle of all cupholder achievement was Chrysler’s NS minivans, with ratcheting adjustment, and it’s all been downhill from there.

Does it need to be pointed out that there are stainless-steel-bodied Deloreans built in 1981 that still haven’t “attracted rusting surface contaminants?”

Shell, which is about the only company that had stations, is basically closing all of their retail stations. All of them. They are keeping the commercial ones open for big trucks, but I would presume those use a different, and much larger, fueling port.

Give it an on/off switch and I am all for it. I want to enjoy a car, and however they can best connect it to me that is fine. I love the way a v8 sounds a feels, but I don’t know that I actually care how they accomplish that, I just want the sensory parts to me. If anything I really hope car makers give options of how

Stewards keep close track of the passengers.

Well done on the headline. It’s true and deceptive clickbait.
