Has anyone noticed more and more blinking CHMSL’s when cars are braking? I used to see it on city buses, and in obvious aftermarket applications.
I had only heard of CA sightings until now. There are Tesla offices/employees in the area, so it could still be an employee car.
Allpar posted a link to this Jeep Wrangler teaser commercial. 11/29 is my birthday. Maybe I need to treat myself to a birthday present.
It’s pretty, no doubt, and obviously a lot of impressive work, but can you even drive the thing around with any practicality?
My left rear brake squeals when brake pressure is applied, but it’s not the pad. The pads have been replaced. The squeal existed both before and after the pads were replaced. Possible causes?
My local mall has an exotic car rental store now (or at least for the holidays) called Zadart. If someone in my family actually had cash it would make a fun Christmas present. If you pick up locally and from stock it sounds like you can get a discount.
I haven’t had brakes done in about 10 years. I got quoted about ~$600 for front and rear pads and calipers from a large chain. Is that ballpark? (4-wheel disc, WRX). I think I just have sticker shock because so much time has passed since I’ve needed brakes. I think I paid ~$300 10 years ago from the same company, and…
If you receive pre-postage-paid junk mail, you can drop it in the outgoing mail, and mail it right back to yourself. Why would you do this? Well if enough people did this, we could rack up very large postage bills for the lousy junk mailers, and simultaneously help subsidize the post office with additional volume.
I understand they vandalized the bathroom door, but reports say they paid the owner cash, and the owner declined to press charges.
... Trump just named Cerberus co-founder and CEO Steve Feinberg as one of his economic advisers.
People are scrambling right now trying to figure out how to stop terrorists from using trucks to run people over. I’m reminded of the truck-stopping bollard that was posted on Jalopnik recently.
I’ll keep this brief and as non-political as possible. I just thought this is some funny contrast that I’m surprised I personally haven’t heard anyone joke about:
I see car haulers on my commute quite a bit, and I know I’ve seen tons of “regular” Toyota/Lexus haulers over the years, but today I saw one like this (sorry, I can’ post pics, someone else could post it maybe?). Pretty snazzy set up. Got me thinking what kind of goodies might be inside, but there’s nothing that…
Moisture in the footwell can cause the transmission to shift to neutral? I think I’ve heard it all now as far as recalls go. But I know I haven’t.
As a local (and as an Internet user) I’m a bit surprised that I’ve never heard of this place until I drove past it yesterday. So I googled it, and apparently a fan made a (some might say racist) commercial for them that has made some rounds on Reddit. The company doesn’t seem to mind the commercial. I was hoping for…
I got flagged down by an old lady in the parking garage. After pointing at my own chest, like “Me? Are you pointing at me?” I walked over to see what she wanted. She said, “How do these spots work?” referring to the parking spots. (Is that a real question?) Noticing see was squeezed in a bit on her passenger side I…
So this is a mandatory training program at work now (in a financial office, in a sky-rise, for what it’s worth). I realize it’s the responsible thing to do, trying to improve safety and limit panic by proactively responding to potential threats, but I also can’t help but feel some disappointment in the reality of the…
This is a hypothetical, and not a car for me or you necessarily, but to help the Chrysler brand and FCA’s bottom line. The Chrysler brand could use a small cross-over type thing in their lineup. The PT Cruiser was very popular, and has been off the market for a while now, and was never granted a second generation.…
First of all, this is a terrible local news story. But the reason I post it is because it seems to contain a grave error. I’ll highlight the relevant parts.
...said no one ever, except this dealer. Those aren’t my words, but rather the opening words in the dealer description of this 2011 WRX for sale. I had to read it 5 times to make sure I read it correctly. The dealer description also includes 2 footnotes that don’t seem to footnote to anything.
