Unfortunately, future Annalee has succumbed to a terrible gambling problem and gets by in 2024 selling death-sticks to random people at bars. She does enough to get by (for now), but lately the stress and late hours have given her reason to use her own product.

Slightly. At least in my opinion the acting got a fair bit better. The plot isn't all that memorable, unfortunately.
