Yes, but you should really watch the Clone Wars. There are a ton of strong female characters in it. They make a point of showing that women are capable of being leaders and heroes as well. I hope this isn't much different.

I have/pay for HBO and I pirate GoT because I usually watch it on my cpu and HBOgo is a shit service that hasn't improved since I was given a beta invite. For other stuff, like True Detective I can wait til im home and watch it on my DVR.

To be fair, their exposure in the Star Wars universe so far has held brits up to be wise old sages like Obi Wan. Of course Dooku and Palpatine are an exception, but they dont get the airtime of the Jedi. Hell, the lightsaber robot on Ilum was David Tennant.

Well Leia seems to already know Vader in ANH, so I don't see it as a problem. It seems they've had quite a few run ins, actually, and Vader just wasn't allowed to take her out because of her political clout.
