Cali stuff is fine, but like you said - under $15. From $10-15 there’s a lot of stuff from Cali I like. There’s a little less good Cali stuff under $10 and a lot more of the sorts of “boxed-wine-quality” sorts (including actual boxed wine).

Those animations are the animator’s faults, not the engine. Unless they fire entire animation team, or bring on a lot of better talent, or switch to Mocap, there’s no way that tech will fix the shitty walk cycles.

Just FYI that’s not a game engine issue - that’s a collision issue relating to the construction of the level by an environment artist. Yeah, I’ve seen this guy’s videos before. He’s a terrible driver himself and he actually goes out of his way to delay his braking when people cut in front of him so he can frighten people more before he honks at them.
