I love the Kamaz truck so much more than that little hatch! Go, big truck, go!

Hmm...
A generator big enough to power the car? Most of the engine power is for acceleration, but the high-torque electric motor can handle that. If we’re just extending the range, we only look at steady state loads.
A regular car only needs about 20 hp to sustain speed of 55 mph. A plug-in with good aerodynamics and…
Batteries used to run 10-15 minutes. And you typically buy extras to swap in.
The bigger the vehicle, the easier it is for a beginner to drive, because it’s more stable and more predictable.
This dude did just fine racing cars and buggies with an aircraft-style dual stick controller...
No way it’s 1/5 scale - a person can sit on a 1/5 scale truck, which itself would be more than 3 feet long.
But what if the glove box came loaded with a full kilo of blow?
When the average family car started packing more than a 3.0l engine, and didn’t downsize for forced induction, that was the point that cars had too much power. It’s really too bad that the OEMs can’t have reached a gentleman’s agreement on engine displacement and horsepower.
Don’t cruisers say they don’t need good brakes? That it’s important to not ever lock them? Right.
It was a 5 second gap, for what should have been a 45 mph road, except the cruiser was likely illegally going 60+ mph. It is almost certainly the case the the car did not expect the cruiser to be speeding and coming up as fast as it did, much less to accelerate to pass.
How can it possibly be the car’s fault?
And the BMW i3!
Actually, there needn’t be, and in fact, there shouldn’t be. On-the-go charging would be the obvious use of the thing for long-distance driving. You have a Nissan Leaf with 80 miles of range? But attach that external range extender with a full tank, and you gain another +200 miles at 30 mpg.
What the thing needs, of…
“wiping”?
It exists. You just need a big enough generator and tank in the trailer.
I think GM has a working version!
The smarter call would be a generator on a trailer hitch platform, rather than pulling an actual trailer:
Shit, if that’s all you wanted, you coulda got a MIEV...
Does it need to? No.
They would not be wrong.
