Was it Alex? It was Alex wasn’t it.

I completely agree. I was a little thrown off by Clay’s tape for those exact reasons and I’m really hoping that the second season addresses cognitive dissonance created by that episode.

Overall I agree with one gigantic caveat.

I come from a family that is riddled with people who threaten to/succeed in killing themselves on a regular basis. I don’t have any personal experience with suicidal depression, so take this for what it’s worth, but I thought the fact that the 13 reasons were all other people and not “and finally, as #13, I have a

I thought this show did a good job at showing the insidiousness of rape culture- how men and women both become complicit and desensitized from practically the onset of puberty and how they internalize it into adulthood so that even the “trustworthy” adults fail to give compassionate aid to people in crisis.

Apologies, but I can’t seem to find “Muslim Ban” listed— where is it, in proximity to their bodies, etc.?

Wait, serious question: where does it say that? I don’t see “muslim ban” anywhere visible... I just spent way longer staring at a picture of Steve Bannon than I ever wanted to, playing a depressingly racist game of “Where’s Waldo,” and I can’t find the words.

No, worries, mademoiselle, the oldest hipster in Brooklyn is on the case.

I recall him being described as “egg shaped” !!

You have got to be fucking kidding me.

She has even come a long way from the childlike depressed housewife she played on Mad Men! Seriously. Ofglen is who I hope to be in 2020, which is roughly when I expect Gilead to be fully-formed.

There’s a lot of things mentioned in passing in the book that could be shown on television, for example, the Colonies. The television show might introduce a character that gets sent there and we’ll get to visit the Colonies (safely from our toxic waste-free couches). Or maybe we’ll meet some expats in Canada and see

I agree. The expanded stuff (Hannah’s birth with the empty maternity ward and praying zealots outside, how the new regime began) is REALLY well done - and it really adds a lot to the original story. There are also small clues into June and Luke’s complicit attitudes that are very interesting.

Thank you for this! One thing I wanted to add is that while you won’t be protected from all risk of postpartum diastasis recti occurring, one thing that can help prevent this is to make sure you take postpartum convalescence seriously.

Huh I thought we were finally over being shitty to Anne Hathaway

Ha, I am Scottish and my partner is Welsh. It is my lifes work to stop people saying British when they mean English.

Welsh people are British. They are not english, which is what he is playing in Death Comes to Pemberly

We went there for dinner the day we got married (elopement FTW, bitches) and everything, everything about the meal was spectacular. I CANNOT WAIT to read this.

It’s on my bucket list—I live nearby and walk past it too often to not splurge on a meal there at least once before I leave this town.

A friend used to work at No. 9 Park and i got a tour of the kitchen after my birthday dinner a few years ago. It was SO COOL—smaller than i expected, spotless, soooo much quieter than i had anticipated, and seriously running like a Swiss watch or something. Amazing!
