+1. I was lucky, my parents emigrated to Canada a few years prior, and I was born a few days before the war started, but discussing this and the bombing of Serbia in 1999 with my parents has given me a pacifistic outlook on life. It saddens me when I think of how a large majority of people who just wanted to lead

That's DEFINITELY a mk1 MR2. I've spent too much time under them...

Toyota used to sell amazing machinery here. Celica GT4's, Supras, MR2's... Mazda had the RX7, and Nissan had the 300zx which all fell in the same category as well! But then in the 90's the US market decided they wanted SUV's, trucks, and oversize sedans instead...

Thanks again, guys!

Too much stance, clearly

What kind of coverage?
1989 MR2 stock - $280/year after taxes and fees, one-way
1989 MR2 with 200% of factory hp output declared, paying $680/year (but getting ~half back since it's stored for the winter), also one way

22 years old as of yesterday, one speeding ticket, and I'm a male.

red/blue/white = ///M
AMG = black iirc
Audi S/RS = red

STi = Pink
Ralliart = yellow/red, Evo = red
Jag R = green/red

Studying atm, but this is what I can surmise off the top of my head.

Toyota. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I present to you a fuel-efficient, fun-as-tits two-seat mid-engine sports car. Gorgeous looks, t-tops, handling that matches/surpasses most "modern" sports cars, two litres of turbocharged fury (granted, not a factory option for my generation), and fairly

I'm praying for an MR2 return. It'll probably cost in the 30-40k range... but I can live with my 1.5 until the new one depreciates enough that I could afford it.

But I know the feeling. Old toyotas make my naughty bits tingle, but the new ones make me want to run the other way :(

Might have something to do with mid-cycle refreshes?
E46 323i was really 2.5L (have one outside), but when they refreshed and went to 325i, all they did was play with the cam timing/duration/VANOS to tease out the extra power (from what I've read). Still 2.5L.

Could be something similar?

Love that picture, and exactly my thoughts. It's underpowered compared to 90's 20V corollas, and its still FWD (which doesn't really matter to target audience, but it matters to us!).

Is it me, or are the power numbers pretty sad?
A 1990's Corolla sporting the 20v 1.6L 4A-GE coughed out 160-165 hp (depending on engine variation), yet these two modern, bigger, "better" powerplants are making 20-30 hp less...

I am disappointed by this. The rest, I don't particularly care as I have no interest in buying

whats up with worm clamps? I have those on my MR2 at the moment, and I figured they should be alright unless you're running stupid amounts of boost... Of course, since I plan on building up my motor a bit, any protips would be awesome

do you even english?

Bro, bitches love stance, you'll get all the alien babes. Trust me brah, now here's a tapout decal for your solar panel

Because the fiero had sloppy suspension, craptastic drivetrain, and the same kind of chassis rigidity as a slice of swiss cheese?

it's 88+, double-din radio, handbrake on passenger side, T-tops. All these were on late-run models (very late for double-din and right-hand e-brake).

MR2 stories? I've got a few from this winter with my '89 beater, and a few from the engine swap in my '89 project car (gen2 3S-GTE, with A2W IC and CT20B off a Gen3

European badges are fine and dandy, but having an eagle badge, t-tops, and a mid-mounted engine blows that out of the park. Probably because most car-illiterate people think its a Ferrari, not a toyota ;)

I was exposed to cars from a young age - Fetus-me got a ride down the autobahn in a 911, baby-me came home from the hospital in a Probe Turbo, young me had a pedal-powered go-kart and a collection of Maisto exotics (still have my Countach). 7-year old me got driven around in an AE86, 17-year-old me learned how to

Only ticket I've ever gotten was in one of these

Depends on the gauges. I have a SINGLE a-pillar pod in my MR2 (Boost, and it's down low on a level with the rest of the dash gauges) and it's fairly hard to see outside the car...

But if you have 3-4 gauges there which are of no use (I saw a guy in a Neon at a meet last summer who put a clock in there), then yeah,
