Electricity is for hippies?
Should've bought a V8 MR2...
That is clean! Reminds me of a Peugeot 505 I see in my neighbourhood every now and then (I'll try snag a pic next time I see it). Agreed on the One-brand thing, I was actually talking it over with a good friend of mine last night, he's a Chevy guy and I'm a Toyota guy, but we still enjoy seeing and respect cars from…
I wish there was a way for me to like this post - a real Jalop embraces all car cultures, and not one specific niche :) What kind of Renault was it, if you don't mind my asking?
Nope - Previous owner had a custom rear lip + exhaust done. I'm swapping in a 3S-GTE but I'm planning on keeping that exhaust/lip, I've never seen one like that :)
haha good fellow! :P Yeah, the GS 1st-gen wasn't too bad, but I agree with you on with the later iterations...
When you show up to a car meet with your DD Camry, and people start mocking your car because you put a fancy radio/have racing stripes on it/driving a Toyota. LISTEN YOU IGNORANT BUFFOON, I replaced my head unit so I could plug my phone/mp3 in and listen to whatever strikes my fancy while stuck in traffic, the car…
Just out of curiosity, do all toyota products count as Beige to you? Serious question :)
What's fun is when you smoke one of these guys with some vintage sports car with a bit of modern technology popped in. Mk 1.5 MR2 is a great example - $5k (including cost of car) will get you a sub-4 second 0-60 and $280/year insurance. Plus, you can claim the engine got Toyota banned from racing in the WRC ;)
Two nominations
*brofist* :D
Naw, just don't buy a NEW one. :) I have fucked with a few dealers using my dad's E46 M3 while my friend was looking to buy a Mazdaspeed6 (also used it to get a test-drive on the new 5.0 Stang and 135i, hehehe). But yeah, most "classy" dealerships are major douches
My 89 MR2. Mint body, spun crank bearing, $800. Bought a 3S-GTE for $600, need another $1200 in parts, and She'll be up and running :D
Ah, I see, you're numbers are the 2013+ models - 09-12 was 210/turbo, 306/V6 on the Gen Coupe (I have a customer with a 2010 Coupe, was working on that car yesterday actually). But nonetheless, I wouldn't consider it nor the mustang to be "economical" nor "Small displacement". More of a Grand Tourer on a budget
weight. also, the 2.0T only has 210 hp...
93-01 it was possible, but incredibly rare (my boss flipped out when he saw mine). afterwards, not sure, but doubt it was any easier to get
