@robai: lately, been working to make $$$, so I can go pick up a clutch, flywheel, new rad and *gasp* an intake for my car. reason for delay is that I dropped $900 on new shifter cables in june - no, they're not platinum-coated

@Pureevil: on that last one, some cars can actually flatten the needle (my camry can, as can my buddies vega - granted, it's got a swapped 350 though).

@Piloter: that's a beautiful answer - I gotta try that line, will post results :P

@TheRonaldBrown: older japanese, quite likely. newer stuff, unfortunately, will not - quality has gone downhill in the last 10 years :(

@racermd: along with the "experienced" drivers who think that the gas pedal doubles as a brake ;)

@hike15: well, they do have the reputation - newer cars seem allright, but I'd rather wait a few years for long-term reliability results before going back to em.

@subarusti62: exactly - similar experience, except explorer instead of pathfinder, and persons house instead of civic (T-shaped intersection, and the road was literally a sheet of ice - I couldn't stop at 30 km/h 0.o)

@belichikakke: old school 5-speed SE has a special place for me :)

@kyvland: I'm guilty of the bimmer-reference when I'm discussing my dad's car, I must admit

@Dante312: "Sir, stupidity police. I'm afraid we have to confiscate this vehicle from you, as your network of 23 neurons is insufficient to safely guide this vehicle. Here's a pair of Nikes. Have a good day!"

@Tiago Bastos: hey, those compacts aint bad either. when I sold my drumkit this spring, guy came with an aveo. managed to fit a full-size drumkit in there (hi-hat, smash, crash, base drum, snare, etc...). Truly shoots down the justification behind big SUV's (unless you really need the towing capacity, or need to

I think it's time to smack that (man)hoe

@Gothmog3VZ: And last, but not least, one of my favorite planes (after the Corsair). Whoever guesses it wins a cookie :)
