@Mitch2: ACtually, would've been smarter for them to put the new 5.0; The Turbo V6 will be under more physical strain to match the power output of a V8, and quite frankly, 5000lb towing capacity doesn't mesh with a FWD platform
@BullittFan_Fords4Life:
As someone who owns a 2nd Gen Explorer (96 Eddie Bauer V8), I gotta say that this is disappointing. I grew up with that truck, and while it was never seriously thrashed off-road, it was ridiculously fun in the snow, incredibly comfy, and pretty quick for an SUV. plus, it was a lifesaver during the snowstorms we had…
@taz20075: romancing the stone references FTW!!
2nd/3rd gen camry
@Maxx Cracker — sponsored by Peniston Oils: and a leg for the gas pedal - Eyes are optional
@Paul Y. thought he was a man, but he was a muffin: 3VZ-E did have headgasket problems, but I wouldn't say it's the worst.
@Matt Hardigree: You, my good sir sir, have just made my day :)
@Motor_Yakuza: @Motor_Yakuza: I approve this idea.
Actually, that looks like more of an aftermarket suspension/brake mod... Crazy Norwegians, and their introverted wheels...
whoa, 109 mph! say what?
@Novaload: agreed
@HfAsianInvasion: same; had my cruise control get stuck last fall, had to turn off the car and coast into a gas station. 3300lb Camry, no power steering, or brakes, yet somehow, I managed to stop. it was *terrifying*, doing a whopping *60mph* and having to *gasp* actually KNOW how to shift into neutral and turn off…
3rd Gen Camry V6 with the 5-Speed manual. Those things hit 60 in under 7 seconds stock (been clocked as low as 65), and nobody will expect to be beat by it. Oh, and at about $2k for the car, and maybe another $2-3k for a turbo build, you can be putting out a cool 400 ponies or more.
@FTGDWolverineEdition'10: yeah, first year of college taught me that the hard way... twice
@oddfish: Agreed!!
