Yup. My son NEVER took a nap unless he was sick. It was exhausting, but at the same time, I kind of learned to love the fact that my day was not constrained by "The Nap". He was also reading at 4, so I dont think it affected his ability to retain info. I just think there is always an anomaly to every study.

I SOSOSO desperately wanted my son to nap when young, but it never mattered what I did, he just wouldn't. The dr told me that everyone had different sleep patterns, and dont worry. He went to bed around 5 in the afternoon and slept until 8am, so I just stopped worrying about it, and enjoyed happy hour!

Completely agree. It was extremely fishy of him to give up his parental rights in the first place. If he didn't care enough about his child to assume responsibility for her, why get involved now?
