Google is interested in any platform for their software. Just a little hint, they even tend to give away their products for free, just to bind even more users to them. So why exactly should they mind to be an essential part of the PS4?

Not only that you are wrong about a partnership between them, you are also wrong about them being rivals. Sony is making hardware and entertainment content. And Google searches and distributes content and creates software. Where exactly should they collide? Microsoft and Google, they are rivals.
Edit: Kinja tricked me once more, my mistake.
Well, I guess you know that you are just one person? The topic that I mentioned will prove that the vast majority never sees one single reply at all. And they ain't all thoughtless comments, just too many for this system to handle economically.
Damn, I really hate that commenting system. I almost expected to be the first who thought of infinite. ;)
Noticed? Check the article to EA's "we go 100% digital". Usually that kind of topic causes hundreds of discussions everywhere. Thanks to this stupid Kinja there are 99,9% comments which got no reply at all. So who gets noticed, hm?
A ton of great people don't or barely post anymore. I'd probably be gone too if there weren't blueTunic's Chrome extension. On the other hand it annoys me that I have to update it manually, just because Denton is too stupid to offer us alternatives.
You do know that you can simply download the current firmware (192mb) from Sony's HP http://us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/ps3/pc_update/index.htm, copy it on a stick and dang! update your PS3. No magic abilities required. ;)
Are you sure that the WiiU could handle it?
C) No, I don't.
B) I can't (No Chrome or whatever other reason) but I would love to use any kind of fix for Kinja.
A) I use blueTunic's "Kotaku Fix" extension for Chrome.
Let's have some fun doing a poll via Kinja.
Sure that it isn't 201x?
Yeah, but first we'll see the Steam Summer Sales!
What has Steam to do with EA going 100% digital? And Valve still sells physical media.
Try this Chrome addon from bluetunic. It makes life on Kotaku so much better.
Uhm, no. Jaffe left Eat Sleep Play and is doing F2P browser games now. Not the slightest connection to Gaikai.
Now I understand what was meant when they claimed that the new commenting system would improve the quality of discussion. A lot fewer comments in general, but more "gems" like this.
