RedCat racing on amazon makes some really inexpensive RC’s. So if you break it or lose interest, no biggie. They also have quite a few of upgrades and their support is pretty good.

My wife has a 2010 Grand Touring CX-9 that we absolutely love. We replaced her 2006 Mazdaspeed6 with the CX-9. The options and materials you get from Mazda are way better than other brands at the same price. She has 80k on hers and *knock on wood*, we have yet to put a dime into anything but tires, brakes, and liquids.

My 2003 Jetta GLI with a short shifter on the 6 speed trans was by far the best transmission I have ever rowed.
