I can't believe I wrote all that.
I can't believe I wrote all that.
Dominions III is a great game and has earned its status as a cult classic. I hope it gets more attention, because it deserves to find a larger audience. And $7.50 is absolute steal, considering the history of its price. As far as I know it has only been dropped from $30 to $7.50 twice, and each time the sale was for a…
The 500+ (there's actually a Steam badge for that, but it shows me having completed it in 2004, on the date I created my account, which was the date I activated HL2) is just for Steam. I have 2-300 more between other accounts, mostly on Amazon and GoG, with a few on Origins, Ubisoft and other services.
Dominion III was just an example for the sake of the discussion. I just left a comment to Shane and hopefully it addresses your points in your comment. I don't bear him any animus; far from it. But I do stand by the points I raised, and they were not raised as criticism of what Shane does here.
I love the concept of Moneysaver, and I hope you can grow it to something more than it is now. Hopefully Nick Denton or Stephen Toltillo will see the wisdom in assigning you a team of specialists to really expand on what you are trying to do, because it has great potential and will be a great boon to Kotaku, the…
Why would I waste my time defending against personal attacks based on your self-professed powers of observation, when said observation comes from a few comments on a very narrow topic of discussion, none of which would seem to give any support to your accusations?
I have pretty strong opinions. Sorry if that offends you. I won't justify the rest of your baseless assumptions with a response, because they say more about you then they could ever say about me.
Shane, you seem like a good guy, and I do appreciate how you take time to interact with the commenters, because from what I have seen in your columns, that's a constant theme. So I'm going to take everything you say at face value on the affiliate deal issue, because I've already made my point in that regard, which is…
Well that's subjective on both counts, because if I have a deeper knowledge of PC games than you, than I have a better understanding of the significance of certain deals in that area. Don't be defensive, I wasn't attacking you. My speciality is PC games, yours obviously isn't. I'm sure you have a better overall…
If I'm mistaken about the Gamersgate listings, my apologies. I'm basing that mostly on your failure to cover Dominions III last time it was on sale. And honestly, I stopped looking at your column after that, because I go to the same sites on a daily basis that make up the core of your PC deals. Did you start covering…
I have over 500 games in my Steam library and I've had my account since April of 2004. I've purchased many of my games during the Winter or Summer sales.
He's not with Fred Phelps. I used to live a mile away from Fred Phelps and his clan and I went to high school with some of their family and church members.
Well, if that's the way it is, I want them to roll it back to Halo 1's multiplayer, so I can go back to setting up a Gamespy tunnel to get 2v2 online multiplayer.
I bought it when the day it hit early access status a few months ago.
I remember that. That was such an awesome concept!
Sleeping Dogs is not a great deal. The base game is 6, but the DLC — not including the base game — is 27.99 right now. It will be a good deal when it's bundled as a GOTY edition. Right now it's a pass.
Towns is getting a lot of shit for being an inferior Dwarf Fortress rip-off, as well as: issues with functionality, flaky dev team and lack of timely updates.
Does Brave New World modify the road maintenance cost? It can be prohibitively expensive to maintain roads throughout a large empire, especially if you build a network of roads that covers the majority of your territory.
I just bought a copy three inutes and got a Paypal confirmation for one cent. After I purchased it, I tried to buy it again, and now it says "order sold out online." I think the deal is over.
Team Fortress 2 on a 32 player limit with 24/7 2fort. If it's a popular server, it will always be full and at least two-thirds of the players will be good-to-excellent.
