Pretty solid motor, near indestructible from most recent accounts.

EB or 5.0L?

So buy an ST1? I say yes.

The Ford Powersplit/Toyota Synergy drive doesn't use "gears" either. I'd say that the lack of the wet clutches makes the Ford/Toyota system more reliable and requires (slightly) less maintenance.

HAHAHA!

I can see the idiots in the meeting room at Dodge right now.

Most highly underrated vehicle Ford makes. It's actually better than the Explorer in nearly every category. It's better value even new. You can get a decent SEL with leather, panoramic moon roof, Navi, memory heated seats and AWD for less that 38k, you can't say that about an Explorer

An extensive test drive on a used car will show glaring issues, but always take a good hard look at the car; look under the hood, in the trunk, use all the controls, do research on specific issues with that year/model, and most importantly, brake and accelerate hard a couple of times to shake it down.

This is why I make you drive it, even if you've driven a similar or same model. Some people want a perfect car when they take it off the lot, so I say "Drive the car, that way any issues that pop up get nicked now.

Modern M-Cars have too many gizmos for me, I quite prefer driving a slow performance car fast, rather than not being able to get close to the limit in a modern car. My 318i E30 is much harder to make up time with, you miss a shift and you're going to have no torque, you can't make it up with brute force. There is an

This is absurd. I've been selling cars for three years now. I've sold GT500s, Raptors, Two used Terminators, among other new and used cars north of 50k. I won't sell you a car without you at least taking a short test drive so you get the feel. I want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, I don't need heat.

Seems like a setup. If not that sales guy isn't going to last at that dealership.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying, or my inflection. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence. I never said, or suggested, that I have formal training in the subject.

Make it 300-319 and we have a bet.

What this article fails to point out is that we're always moving toward more efficient power generation sources. Yes, as of right now Electric cars are producing more pollutants. What about when Solar efficiency gets near the theoretical maximum of 86%? What happens when they recycle the lithium batteries into storage

It seems to me they're going to position it as a performance minded fuel efficient option, much like the ST line of cars. I'd be surprised if it's less than 320.

I doubt it, it's going to use a twin scroll setup, and it will be performance based. I'm thinking 325-330 HP, 350+ torque.
