I was raised in an atheist household (I'm 25 now), and I'm always surprised at how uncommon it is. I know lots of atheists, but all of them came to their atheism as teenagers or adults. I don't know anyone else with atheist parents.

I find nothing wrong with viewing the phenomenon of losing control over one's birth situation or bodily autonomy similarly with rape. I would find a new term for it, but could definitely explain it using the same wording as rape. It is at the end of the day a violation of someone's body and if that consent isn't asked…
