Being that this is a top ten list, the Beetle wins, but I think the 80's Testarossa is pretty well recognized and kids all over the world had a poster or saw it on tv in some respect. That or the 308 because of Magnum PI.

I have to agree with the Beetle, it was in production so long and in so many places that I can't imagine it isn't the most recognizable car on earth.

I would say on a street car this would be pretty insignificant, its for sure more for stability than improving fuel consumption. You would never recoup the cost. Evos ect.. only!
