The Cuyahoga river caught on fire. Not just the once in 1969 that gets highly publicized, but apparently 13 times.

How? the Z weighs more and makes less power.

1st: Oh, how fun (in a giant spectacle sort of way) it would be if the Cobalt ended up on the recall list for this.

306 CID indicates a reman. bored .030 over so I doubt it came directly from Ford. You’d really have to know what kind of parts went into it to know how much it’s worth. You could do a rebuild for less than $2k easily on 5.0, if you get cheap parts.

5 minutes matters very much. The standard climb rate is 1000 feet per minute, putting the plane at about 5000 AGL. The pressure differential would not be a factor.

8th digit of the VIN. The engine code. You need to know that if you’re buying a used car. Or maybe a new car. In fact, check out the whole VIN. There are plenty of places to find out what everything means. Such as: https://service.gm.com/dealerworld/vi…

This will have little effect on the future cases that make it to the courtroom. Where it will have a large effect is the pending cases. the lawyers for pending cases, at least the smart ones, will likely vet their cases a little better and settle or drop those that may not hold up well in court.

I don’t think those eyes are applied correctly.

Enemy? I always assumed that car detailers trained pigeons. Or, at the very least, fed them generously.

Tony Stark.

The flash point for Gasoline is -45F. That seems insanely low.

What’s the incentive picture likely to be for the Nissan? The top level Ram may list at $4k more, but you can get $6k or more off the list price.

Step 1: Set out to prove front drive can compete at the highest levels with Rear drive.

You’ve obviously become desensitized to the violence it inflicts on the eyes.

One has to wonder why the sheepskins are there. Are they hiding something? If not, what other bad choices have been made?

Yes! And I would recommend not going cheap. High-end cars can get quite expensive, but they are way more durable and much faster. The sub $100 crap you get at toy giants and big box stores will provide but a few hours of joy before you’re staring at a broken turnbuckle or hub and parts are nigh impossible to find.

And here I was expecting the problem to be the exposed fasteners.

I did try it with a pan about twice as big. Didn’t work, But, I got out the heat gun and after a couple minutes with that, I was able to pop it right out.

Yes. My mother had a ‘69 Firebird. With a transplanted GTO motor and automatic. So, yeah, I’m familiar. Every car I drove while learning to drive was a big V8 and auto. I have nothing against others getting an auto, I just simply wouldn’t get one that way.

One more pedal and you’d have had my vote.
